(Solved)Mint a Ubuntu Studio

Witam.

Po szczęśliwym rozwiązaniu problemów koegzystencji Linuxa i Windows na dysku przyszła pora na trochę luksusu.

Z racji moich potrzeb zawodowych (muzyka ,home recording) - zainstalowałem Ubuntu Studio 10.10.
Wszysko było by cacy gdybym "po drodze" nie natknął się na Minta.
Urzekła mnie wygoda obsługi i "klikalność".
Myślę że trochę już dla mnie późno na naukę obsługi konsoli od podstaw a na wyszukiwanie podobnych do mego problemu wątków po to skopiować i wkleić coś do konsoli tracę zbyt dużo czasu.

Pytanie jest dość proste - czy i jak mogę doinstalować Minta PL do istniejącego Ubuntu Studio z zachowaniem jego ustawień i jądra które ponoć jest niezbędne do stabilnej pracy potrzebnych mi aplikacji.

Ja przerabiałem parę razy Ubuntu na Minta, może teraz też coś to da.

Spróbuj zrobić tak:

- dodaj do Ubuntu Studio repozytoria Minta 10

- doinstaluj pakiet meta (mint-meta-main lub mint-meta-x64 - zależy, jaką masz architekturę)

- reboot

- powinno działać

Skoro dało radę na zwykłym Ubuntu, tutaj też może zadziałać - ale nie gwarantuję, gdyż na US tego nie robiłem.

To nie lepiej już do minta doinstalować jądro od ubuntu studio które jest ponoć low latency ?

Musisz do /etc/apt/sources.list dodać to

W zasadzie chodzi mi o jedno narzędzie.
W Fluxbox którego mam na pendriwe nazywa się To Software Manager i pozwala  po chamsku wklikać (i zainstalować )chyba każdą aplikację.
Poradźcie laikowi jak to doinstalować , bo z tym co mam w Ubuntu Studio - motam się strasznie.

Źle robisz.

Wpisujesz w konsoli polecenie

Dodajesz te repo które podałem, zapisujesz.

W konsoli

sudo apt-get update

I instalujesz ten metapakiet, o którym wspominałem.

Chyba, że chcesz pojedyncze narzędzia jak mintMenu czy mintInstall.

Zainstalowałem Ubuntu Tweak i to w zasadzie rozwiązuje moje problemy.
Nie będę ryzykował z Mintem.
Na razie wszystko chodzi ok.
Czeka mnie teraz walka z konfiguracją Jackaudio  etc dla odpalenia homestudio w Linuxie ... ale to już inna bajka.
