I have an idea of adding an interesting functionality to KDE.
My dream is to be able to send KDE settings to servers friendly with KDE and the whole free software movement.
Each user of KDE could open an account in that service. He/she could keep there their entire desktop settings: shortcuts, programs, start menu, settings for all KDE applications: a Dolphin, Digikam, K3b. etc.
It could work more or less as it operates now in most web browsers, where you can set synchronization of most of the data, such as bookmarks, history, accessories, etc, with the server.
This feature if added to KDE would enable the user to migrate to a different Linux distribution based on KDE, without another tedious adaptation of the environment to suit someone's needs. It would be enough to customize KDE only once on one computer and by synchronizing on another computer or other distribution with the server the entire KDE on the other device would look the same and would have the same functionality.
In my opinion it would be the best to add this function to the system settings and combine it with the package manager such as KPackageKit, which if necessary, would download the missing extensions, etc..
Dobry pomysł. Proponuję go dodać jeszcze do
