Sprawdzenie ilości pamięci RAM

Od pewnego czasu miałem wrażenie jakby system stał się bardziej ociężały niż wcześniej.
Po pewnych sprawdzeniach zaskoczyła mnie ilość pamięci widziana przez system.
Faktycznie na płycie są dwa sloty i w każdej po 1 kości 4Gb DDR3.
System widzi jakby było w granicach 4Gb i tu następna ciekawostka, po każdym uruchomieniu ta ilość jest trochę inna.
W BIOS-ie widać po jednej kości 4096 w każdym slocie. Po uruchomieniu komputera wybrałem "Mtest" i wykonał test bez żadnych błędów (również widział 2 x 4096).

Nie grzebałeś w BIOS? Jakieś zmiany napięcia? Timingu? Nie przydzielałeś dodatkowej pamięci dla karty graficznej - zintegrowanej?

Można zainstalować z menadżera oprogramowania Hardinfo (System Profiler and Benchmark) i zobaczyć w Devices > Memory, ile widzi.

Ja bym zaczął od próby przełożenia kości między slotami i/lub prób z tylko jedną kością w slocie.

Od takich eksperymentów oczywiście zacząłem. PC-tami zajmuje się już prawie 30 lat.

Sprawdziłem kości na innym komputerze. Tam ten wykrył w BIOS-ie tylko jedną kość. Wymienię obydwie na inne.
